SirsteveHQ Responsibilities

Infrastructure Management

Hardware

SirsteveHQ is responsible for all hardware components, including servers, storage, and networking equipment. We ensure that all hardware is in optimal condition to provide continuous service availability.

Network Infrastructure

We manage the network infrastructure to ensure high performance and availability. This includes the deployment, maintenance, and monitoring of the network to defend against disruptions and attacks.

Data Center Security

The physical security of the data centre where your data is hosted is our responsibility. This includes access controls, surveillance, and environmental protections to ensure the integrity and availability of servers.

Platform Security

SirsteveHQ ensures the security of the hosting platform. This encompasses the implementation of security measures such as firewalls, intrusion detection systems, and regular security assessments to protect against unauthorised access and threats.

Account Management

Updating Account Information

Personal and Contact Information

Customers are responsible for ensuring that their personal and contact information, including names, addresses, email addresses, and phone numbers, are kept up-to-date within their SirsteveHQ account. This is crucial for maintaining effective communication, ensuring timely support, and facilitating account verification processes.

Prompt Updates Required

It is the customer’s responsibility to promptly update their account information in the event of any changes. This includes, but is not limited to, changes in personal information, billing address, and contact details. SirsteveHQ relies on accurate customer information to provide notices, billing invoices, and important account-related updates.

Consequences of Outdated Information

Failure to maintain accurate account information may result in delayed support, misrouted communications, or disruptions in service due to inability to verify account ownership or process payments. Customers bear the responsibility for any service impact due to outdated or incorrect account information.

How to Update Information

Customers can update their account information through the SirsteveHQ customer portal.  

Access Controls

Customers are responsible for managing access to their SirsteveHQ accounts. This includes creating strong passwords, managing user permissions, and ensuring that access is revoked when no longer needed.

Data Management

Customers must manage the data stored within their hosting environment. This includes adhering to data protection laws, implementing data encryption as necessary, and performing regular backups to prevent data loss.

Application Security

Customers are responsible for securing any applications they install or develop on their hosting space. This includes keeping software up to date, managing application-level access controls, and implementing security measures relevant to the applications in use.

Compliance

It is the customer’s responsibility to ensure that their use of SirsteveHQ services complies with all applicable laws, regulations, and policies. This includes data protection regulations, copyright laws, and any sector-specific legal requirements.

Collaboration for Security

SirsteveHQ and our customers must work together to maintain a secure hosting environment. We encourage customers to report any security concerns or incidents related to their hosting environment to SirsteveHQ promptly. In turn, SirsteveHQ commits to responding to and addressing security issues in accordance with our service level agreements.

Policy Updates

SirsteveHQ reserves the right to update this Shared Responsibility Policy at any time. Customers will be notified of significant changes through our standard communication channels. We encourage customers to regularly review this policy to understand their responsibilities.
