We are writing to inform you of an important nameserver update that requires your immediate attention.
Background & Issue Identified
Over the past few days, we identified a nameserver conflict affecting some cPanel Hosting clients, particularly those who previously transferred their hosting services from our Offshore Hosting platform to cPanel Hosting.
Due to this overlap, some domains were still resolving through our old nameservers, causing the domain IP to intermittently or incorrectly point to the Offshore Hosting environment instead of the active cPanel Hosting server. This may have resulted in issues such as:
- Website loading outdated content
- Website not loading at all
- Email or application inconsistencies
Resolution Implemented
To permanently resolve this conflict and prevent future resolution issues, we have updated our official nameservers for cPanel Hosting.
Old Nameservers (no longer recommended):
- dns1.sirstevemedia.com
- dns2.sirstevemedia.com
New Nameservers (effective immediately):
- ns5.sirstevemedia.com
- ns6.sirstevemedia.com
Required Action (Very Important)
All clients currently using cPanel Hosting are required to update their domain nameservers immediately to the new values listed above.
Please note:
- Your server IP address remains the same
- No files, databases, or emails will be affected
- DNS propagation may take up to 24 hours, but changes often apply much sooner
Failure to update your nameservers may result in continued resolution issues or service instability.
