Workspace Setup - BrandPilot

A Workspace in SIRSTEVEHQ BrandPilot is the central home for your brand.

Everything related to a particular brand, including your brand strategy, logo, website, social media content, store, and brand assets, is organized within its workspace.

Think of a workspace as the dedicated environment where you build, manage, and grow one brand.

Creating a Workspace

When you launch BrandPilot for the first time, you will be guided through the onboarding process and prompted to create your first workspace.

You will typically provide basic information about your brand, including:

  • Brand Name: The name of the business or brand represented by the workspace.
  • Industry: Your business category or industry, which helps BrandPilot provide more relevant AI-generated suggestions.

For example, you may select an industry such as Food & Beverage, SaaS, Fashion, Technology, Consulting, Retail, or another category relevant to your business.

Once your workspace has been created, BrandPilot uses the information you provide as part of the context for various AI-powered tools across the platform.

Workspace Switcher

If your BrandPilot account supports multiple workspaces, you can switch between them using the Workspace Switcher.

The workspace switcher is available in the main navigation area and allows you to:

  • View your current workspace
  • Switch between available workspaces
  • Create a workspace for another brand

Each workspace is designed to keep a brand's information and assets separate.

For example, if you operate both a fashion business and a software company, you can maintain them as separate workspaces rather than combining their brand strategies, websites, assets, and content.

Configuring Your Workspace

You can manage your workspace information from:

Settings → Workspace

The available settings allow you to maintain important information about your brand and workspace.

General

The General section contains the core information BrandPilot uses to understand your brand.

Field Description
Brand Name The display name associated with your brand and used across the platform and generated content.
Brand Description A brief description of your business that can provide additional context to AI-powered features.
Industry The sector or category your business operates in, which can influence AI recommendations and generated content.
Default Language The primary language used for supported AI-generated content.
Timezone Helps determine scheduling times for supported social media posts and notifications.

Why Your Brand Information Matters

Your workspace information is more than basic account information.

BrandPilot can use your brand name, description, industry, and other available context to make AI-assisted features more relevant to your business.

For example, a detailed brand description can give the AI more context when generating marketing copy, website content, social media posts, or other brand materials.

For better results, keep your brand information accurate and specific.

Workspace Profile

The Workspace Profile section contains information about the workspace itself.

Depending on your account and available features, you may see information such as:

Field Description
Workspace ID A unique system identifier associated with your workspace. This is generally used internally by the platform.
Slug The unique URL-friendly identifier associated with your workspace where applicable.
Workspace Name The name used to identify the workspace within the platform.
Current Plan The BrandPilot subscription associated with the workspace.
Created The date the workspace was created.

Some system-generated information may be read-only and cannot be changed manually.

Deleting a Workspace

If a workspace deletion option is available in your account, treat it with caution.

Deleting a workspace may permanently remove information associated with that brand, including brand assets, website content, products, social media content, and other workspace data.

Important: Workspace deletion may be permanent and irreversible. Make sure you no longer need the workspace and any associated information before proceeding.

If you are unsure whether you should delete a workspace, consider reviewing your workspace information and backing up important brand assets first.

Inviting Team Members

BrandPilot can support collaboration by allowing workspace owners or authorized administrators to invite other people to work on a brand.

Where available, team management can be accessed through:

Settings → Workspace → Members

Team access can help businesses collaborate without sharing the primary account credentials with everyone working on the brand.

Workspace Roles

Available roles may include:

Role Permissions
Admin Broad workspace access, including managing workspace settings and other administrative functions available to the role.
Editor Can create and edit supported brand content but has more limited administrative access.
Viewer Primarily provides read-only access to supported workspace content and assets.

The exact permissions available to each role may depend on the current BrandPilot configuration and subscription.

How to Invite a Team Member

If team invitations are available on your account:

  1. Go to Settings → Workspace → Members.
  2. Click Invite Member.
  3. Enter the person's email address.
  4. Select the appropriate role.
  5. Click Send Invite.

The invited person will receive an email invitation and can follow the instructions provided to access the workspace.

If they do not already have a BrandPilot account, they may be prompted to complete account setup before accessing the workspace.

Choose Roles Carefully

Give team members only the level of access they need.

For example, a designer working on logos and visual assets may only require editing access, while someone responsible for workspace administration may require administrative permissions.

This helps maintain better control over your brand and workspace.

Connecting a Domain

Custom domain configuration allows you to associate your brand with a domain name rather than relying solely on a temporary or platform-provided address.

Where domain mapping is available, go to:

Settings → Workspace → Domains

From there, you can manage supported custom domain connections for your brand.

A custom domain might look like:

luminarycoffee.com

rather than a temporary website address.

Your mapped domain can be used with supported BrandPilot features such as the Website Builder and website publishing or hosting functionality.

Before Connecting Your Domain

Make sure you are connecting the correct domain to the correct workspace.

If you operate multiple brands, each brand should have its own appropriate domain and workspace configuration. This helps prevent accidentally connecting one company's domain to another company's website or brand assets.

Managing Multiple Brands

One of the advantages of separating brands into individual workspaces is organization.

For example:

  • Workspace 1: Coffee Business
  • Workspace 2: Fashion Brand
  • Workspace 3: SaaS Startup

Each workspace can maintain its own brand information, website, assets, content, and business configuration.

This is particularly useful for entrepreneurs who operate multiple businesses or brands and want to keep each identity independent.

Best Practices for Your BrandPilot Workspace

To get the most out of your workspace:

  1. Use an accurate brand name so generated content consistently reflects your business.
  2. Write a useful brand description rather than leaving the description vague.
  3. Select the correct industry to provide better context for AI-assisted features.
  4. Keep your workspace information updated as your business evolves.
  5. Use separate workspaces for separate brands where appropriate.
  6. Assign team roles carefully and avoid giving administrative access unnecessarily.
  7. Keep copies of important brand assets before making major changes or deleting a workspace.
  8. Use your own custom domain where appropriate to establish a professional online presence.

Your Brand's Central Workspace

Your BrandPilot Workspace is the foundation for managing your brand across the platform.

From your workspace, you can organize your brand strategy, visual identity, website, social media content, eCommerce information, and other brand assets in one central environment.

Keeping your workspace properly configured from the beginning can also help BrandPilot's AI tools work with better business context as you continue building and developing your brand.
