This article covers the full process of generating logo concepts, from writing your first prompt to reviewing and refining the results.
Before You Start
BrandPilot can use your Brand Strategy as context when generating logos. If you haven't completed your Brand Strategy yet, the Logo Generator can still work, but providing more information about your brand can help produce more relevant results.
For best results:
- Complete Brand Strategy first
- Make sure your color palette reflects your brand, as it can influence the logo's color direction
Step 1 — Open the Logo Generator
Go to Brand Building → Logo Generator from the sidebar.
The module opens with the AI Copilot on the left. If you've completed your Brand Strategy, BrandPilot may use information from your brand identity to help create a starting direction for your logo.
Step 2 — Choose How Many Concepts
Select the number of logo concepts you want generated, where multiple concept options are available:
- 1 — Useful when you already have a very specific direction in mind
- 4 — Provides a balance between speed and creative variety
- 6 — Provides a wider range of creative directions for exploration
The applicable credit requirement, if any, is displayed in BrandPilot before generation.
Step 3 — Describe Your Logo
Type your visual brief in the Copilot. Include:
- Brand name — How it should appear in the logo, such as the full name, initials, or icon only
- Visual style — Wordmark, lettermark, icon mark, combination mark, mascot
- Aesthetic — Minimal, bold, vintage, geometric, illustrative, etc.
- Specific elements — Icon ideas, symbols, shapes, or visual elements to incorporate
- Color direction — Reference your palette or describe the mood and feeling you want
Alternatively, select a quick concept description from the Copilot's suggestions.
Logo style guide
| Style | Description | Best for |
|---|---|---|
| Wordmark | Brand name as the primary visual element | Distinctive names, early-stage brands |
| Lettermark | Initials or abbreviated form | Long brand names |
| Icon mark | Symbol without text | Established brands, apps, and digital products |
| Combination mark | Icon and wordmark together | New brands and flexible brand identities |
| Emblem | Text inside or around a shape | Traditional, heritage, and authority-focused brands |
| Mascot | Character or illustrated figure | Kids, consumer, and friendly brands |
Step 4 — Generate
Click Generate to create your logo concepts. The AI processes your prompt and available brand context to produce the requested concepts.
Generation time may vary depending on the number and complexity of concepts being created.
Step 5 — Review Results
Your concepts appear in the right panel. Each card can show:
- The rendered logo
- A concept label, such as bold concept
- The Edit button
Review all available concepts before choosing one. Look at:
- How the name reads at small sizes
- Whether the icon, if included, is distinct and scalable
- Whether the colors align with your brand palette
- Whether the overall design reflects your intended brand personality
- How well the logo could work across websites, social media, print, and other brand materials
Step 6 — Refine or Edit
To generate more options: Continue chatting in the Copilot with refinement instructions, or use Regenerate to explore fresh concepts where available.
To edit a concept: Click Edit on a concept card to open the Logo Editor.
ITERATION IS NORMAL
A strong logo often develops through multiple rounds of exploration and refinement. Don't feel pressured to commit to your first generation. Use the Copilot to test different styles, simplify or strengthen visual elements, and explore alternative creative directions before finalizing your logo.
