The Calendar gives you a visual overview of your scheduled and published social media posts. Use it to plan your content schedule, manage upcoming posts, and maintain consistent publishing across your connected social media platforms.

Calendar View

The Calendar displays your social media activity in a monthly grid, with posts shown on their scheduled dates. Each post card provides a quick overview of the content, including:

  • Platform icon, such as Instagram or LinkedIn
  • Scheduled publishing time
  • Caption preview
  • Post status, such as Scheduled, Published, or Draft

This makes it easier to see how your content is distributed throughout the month and identify days where you may want to add new content.

Post Status Colors

Color Status
Purple / Primary Scheduled: The post is scheduled for automatic publishing
Green Published: The post has already been published
Grey Draft: The post has been saved but is not yet scheduled

The exact appearance of status indicators may vary depending on the current BrandPilot interface.

Navigating the Calendar

  • Use the ← → arrows to move between months.
  • Click any post card to open the post and review or edit its details.
  • Click an empty day to open the Create Post composer with the selected date available for scheduling.

Using the Calendar regularly can help you identify gaps in your content schedule and avoid accidentally publishing too many posts on the same day.

Managing Scheduled Posts

Editing a Post

Click any post card to open the post editor. Make your changes and click Save.

If you do not change the scheduling or platform information, those settings remain associated with the post. If you change the date, time, platform, or other available settings, BrandPilot will apply the updated configuration when you save.

Rescheduling

To reschedule a post, open it in the post editor and update the available date and time fields.

Save your changes to apply the new schedule. Review the updated Calendar afterward to confirm that the post appears on the intended date and time.

Deleting a Post

Open the post card and select Delete.

Deleting a scheduled or draft post removes it from your BrandPilot content schedule. A post that has already been published may need to be removed directly from the connected social media platform, depending on the platform integration and available actions.

Week View

Switch to Week view using the view controls above the calendar, where available.

Week view provides a more detailed day-by-day overview and can be particularly useful when you have several posts scheduled within the same week or multiple posts on the same day.

Use it to review publishing times, identify crowded days, and make adjustments to create a more balanced content schedule.

Upcoming Posts (Dashboard)

Your upcoming scheduled posts may also appear on the Dashboard in the Upcoming Posts section.

This gives you a quick view of your next scheduled content without requiring you to open the Calendar. From there, you can review what is coming next and return to the relevant post when you need to make changes.

PLAN 2 WEEKS AHEAD

An effective social media workflow involves planning content in batches rather than creating every post at the last minute.

Consider setting aside 1 to 2 hours each week to develop and schedule content for the next 10 to 14 days. Use BrandPilot's AI generation tools in the Create Post workflow to help develop caption ideas and speed up content creation, while reviewing and refining each post to ensure it matches your brand voice and objectives.

Planning ahead also gives you time to review your content mix, maintain consistency across platforms, and make adjustments before posts are published.
