The Accounts tab is where you connect and manage the social media profiles you want to publish content to from SIRSTEVEHQ BrandPilot.
Connecting your social media accounts allows BrandPilot to work with the supported platforms and, where the relevant integration and permissions are available, publish scheduled content on your behalf.
Connecting an Account
- Go to Digital Presence → Social Media → Accounts.
- Click Connect Instagram.
- You will be redirected to the relevant Instagram or Meta authorization page.
- Log in with the Instagram account you want to connect.
- Review and grant the permissions requested by the integration, which may include:
- Publishing content
- Accessing basic account information
- After authorization, you will be redirected back to BrandPilot and the account should appear as Connected.
Instagram Business or Creator Required
Instagram's third-party publishing capabilities generally require a Professional account, such as a Business or Creatoraccount. Personal Instagram accounts may not support the publishing features required by the integration.
If necessary, you can switch your Instagram account to a Professional account through Instagram's account settings.
Note: Meta and Instagram requirements can change. If BrandPilot displays additional connection requirements during the authorization process, follow the instructions shown there.
- Click Connect LinkedIn.
- You will be redirected to LinkedIn's authorization screen.
- Log in to your LinkedIn account and review the requested permissions.
- Click Allow to authorize the connection.
- After authorization, you will be redirected back to BrandPilot and the connected LinkedIn profile or supported page should appear as Connected.
Depending on the available LinkedIn integration and permissions, supported account types may include:
- Personal profiles
- Company pages where you have the required administrative access
Connected Account Details
Each connected account displays relevant information to help you identify and manage the connection.
| Field | Description |
|---|---|
| Platform | Instagram or LinkedIn |
| Account Name | Your connected profile or page name |
| Profile Picture | Thumbnail of the connected account, where available |
| Connection Date | When the account was connected |
| Status | Current connection status |
The available information may vary depending on the social media platform and integration.
Reconnecting an Account
A social media connection may occasionally require reauthorization. This can happen if permissions are revoked, the connection expires, platform requirements change, or another authorization issue occurs.
If an account shows a Reconnect or similar action, click it and complete the authorization process again.
After reconnecting, verify that the account shows an active connection before relying on it for future scheduled posts.
Disconnecting an Account
Click Disconnect on a connected account to remove the connection from BrandPilot.
Disconnecting an account does not normally delete content that has already been published on the social media platform. It removes the connection that allows BrandPilot to work with that account.
If you have scheduled posts associated with a disconnected account, those posts may not be published while the account remains disconnected. Reconnect the account before the scheduled publishing time if you want BrandPilot to continue using that connection.
Multiple Accounts
BrandPilot can support connecting multiple social media accounts where the relevant platform integration allows it. For example, you may connect more than one Instagram or LinkedIn account for different brands or business activities.
Each Workspace manages its own connected brand resources and social media accounts. When working with multiple brands, make sure you are in the correct Workspace before connecting an account or creating scheduled content.
This helps keep each brand's social media activity, content, and publishing workflow properly separated.
