The eCommerce module allows you to create and manage an online store as part of your BrandPilot website. Depending on the features available to your Workspace, you can manage products, orders, customers, inventory, discounts, and your storefront from one place.
eCommerce and the Website Builder
The eCommerce experience is designed to work alongside the Website Builder.
Your storefront and product-related pages can form part of your website and use the visual style, layout, and branding you have established for your site.
This allows your website and online store to work together rather than requiring a separate storefront platform.
Module Overview
eCommerce is organized into several sections for managing different parts of your store:
| Section | Purpose |
|---|---|
| Overview | Store dashboard with key performance information |
| Products | Add, edit, and organize your product catalog |
| Orders | View and manage customer orders |
| Customers | Manage customer information and purchase history |
| Inventory | Track product stock and inventory information |
| Discounts | Create and manage available discounts or promotional codes |
| Storefront | Customize your store's layout and appearance |
The exact sections and options available may depend on your BrandPilot plan and the current eCommerce features available in your Workspace.
Store Dashboard (Overview)
The Overview section provides a central view of your store activity.
Depending on the available features, your dashboard may display information such as:
| Metric | Description |
|---|---|
| Products | Products currently available in your catalog |
| Orders | Orders received through your store |
| Revenue | Revenue information associated with your orders |
| Recent Orders | Recent customer orders and their current status |
| Top Products | Products generating the most sales or revenue |
A store status indicator may also be available to help you determine whether your storefront is ready and publicly accessible.
Setting Up Your Store
Before accepting customer orders, complete the key store configuration steps available in your Workspace.
1. Connect a Payment Provider
Go to the relevant Settings or Integrations area and connect a supported payment provider, if required.
The payment providers available to you may depend on your location, BrandPilot configuration, and current payment integrations.
Make sure your payment setup is completed and tested before promoting your store to customers.
2. Add Your Products
Go to Products and add the products you want to sell.
Depending on the product type and available eCommerce features, product information may include:
- Product name
- Description
- Price
- Product images
- Inventory information
- Product options or variants
Provide clear product information and high-quality images to help customers understand what you are selling.
3. Configure Your Storefront
Go to Storefront to configure the appearance and presentation of your online shop.
Depending on the available options, you may be able to customize elements such as:
- Store layout
- Featured products or collections
- Store homepage
- Product presentation
- Brand styling
Use your existing BrandPilot brand identity to maintain a consistent experience between your main website and online store.
4. Set Shipping Options
If you sell physical products, configure the shipping options supported by your store.
This may include defining shipping areas, delivery methods, and applicable rates.
The exact shipping configuration available depends on the current eCommerce functionality and your store setup.
5. Publish Your Website
Make sure your website is published and your store has been properly configured before sharing it with customers.
Your eCommerce storefront becomes accessible through your published website according to your configured domain and store settings.
Before launching, test the customer journey from product selection through checkout to ensure your store is ready to receive orders.
Store URL
Your store is accessible through your website using the store URL configured in BrandPilot.
Depending on your current configuration, BrandPilot may provide a default store path or allow you to customize the storefront URL.
For example:
yourdomain.com/shop
If URL customization is available, you can manage the relevant setting from the Storefront configuration area.
Always confirm the live store URL from your BrandPilot website settings before sharing it with customers.
