The Customers section provides a central view of customers who have placed orders through your online store. Depending on your eCommerce configuration, you can review customer contact information, purchase history, order activity, and other available customer information.
Customer List
Customers are displayed in a table with information such as:
| Column | Description |
|---|---|
| Name | Customer's name |
| Customer's contact email address | |
| Orders | Number of orders associated with the customer |
| Total Spent | Cumulative value of recorded orders |
| Last Order | Date of the customer's most recent order |
| Location | Available location information, such as city or country |
The information available may vary depending on what customers provide during checkout and the features enabled for your store.
Customer Profile
Click a customer to open their profile and view the information associated with their store activity.
A customer profile may include:
- Contact Info: Name, email, phone number where provided, and available address information
- Order History: Previous orders, order status, and order totals
- Lifetime Value: Total recorded order value associated with the customer
- Notes: Internal notes for managing customer relationships, where supported
Use customer profiles to quickly review previous purchases and understand a customer's relationship with your store.
Adding a Customer Manually
Click Add Customer to create a customer record manually, where this feature is available.
Manual customer creation can be useful when adding customers from offline sales, wholesale transactions, existing business records, or other customer interactions.
Only add customer information that you have a legitimate reason and appropriate permission to store.
Customer Data and Privacy
Customer information should be handled responsibly and in accordance with applicable privacy and data-protection requirements.
BrandPilot stores customer information as part of your store's data and Workspace environment. The exact storage, retention, access, and privacy practices depend on the applicable BrandPilot service configuration and terms.
Avoid exporting, sharing, or using customer information for purposes that customers have not been informed about or that are not permitted under applicable privacy requirements.
If a customer requests access, correction, deletion, or another privacy-related action, follow your applicable legal and business procedures and use the customer-management tools available in BrandPilot where supported.
Exporting Customers
If customer export is available, click Export to download your customer information in the supported format, such as CSV.
An export can be useful for:
- Customer record management
- Business reporting
- Data migration
- Backup and internal record-keeping
- Importing data into another supported business tool
Before sharing or importing customer data into another service, verify that you have the appropriate permission and that the destination service complies with your applicable privacy requirements.
Email Marketing Integrations
If BrandPilot provides an integration with an email marketing service, you can configure it through the available Settings → Integrations area.
Integration availability and synchronization behavior may vary. Do not assume that exporting or syncing customers automatically gives permission to subscribe them to marketing communications. Ensure that your email marketing practices follow applicable consent and privacy requirements.
