Settings → Workspace → Domains is where you manage domains connected to your workspace, whether they were registered through BrandPilot or connected from an external domain registrar.

Domain List

All domains associated with your workspace appear in a table:

Column Description
Domain The full domain name, such as yourbrand.com
Status Current connection or verification status
Registered via The service or registrar through which the domain was registered
Registered Domain registration date, where available
Renews Domain renewal date, where available
Connected to The website or resource the domain is connected to

Domain Status

Status Meaning Action needed
Connected The domain is connected and configured correctly None
Pending DNS DNS changes have been made but are still propagating Allow time for DNS propagation
Unverified The required DNS configuration has not yet been detected Check your DNS settings
Expiring soon The domain is approaching its renewal date Review your renewal settings
Expired The domain has passed its renewal date Contact your registrar and renew if possible

The exact status labels and available actions may vary depending on how the domain is connected and managed.

Adding a Domain

BrandPilot-registered domain

Domains registered through the Name & Domain module may be associated with your workspace automatically.

You can manage available domain information from Settings → Workspace → Domains.

External domain

To connect a domain registered with another registrar:

  1. Click Add Domain.
  2. Enter the domain name, such as yourbrand.com.
  3. BrandPilot will display the DNS configuration required for your website.
  4. Add the required records in your domain registrar's DNS control panel.
  5. Return to BrandPilot and verify the domain once the DNS records have been configured.

The exact DNS records depend on your website and domain configuration. Always use the records displayed by BrandPilot rather than manually entering values from another website or service.

DNS changes may take some time to propagate. The domain status will update once the required configuration is detected.

Connecting a Domain to Your Website

After a domain has been added and verified:

  1. Click Connect to Website next to the domain.
  2. Select the website you want to connect to.
  3. Click Save.

Once the connection and DNS configuration are complete, your website can be accessed through the connected domain.

Domain Renewal

Domain renewal is handled according to the registrar and registration method associated with your domain.

For domains registered through SIRSTEVEHQ or an integrated domain service, review the available renewal and billing settings in your account.

For domains registered through an external registrar, renewal must generally be managed through that registrar.

Always check your domain's renewal date and keep your payment information up to date to reduce the risk of domain expiration.

Removing a Domain

Click ⋯ → Remove Domain to disconnect a domain from your workspace.

Removing a domain from BrandPilot does not necessarily cancel or delete the domain registration. If the domain was registered through an external registrar, it remains under the control of that registrar unless separately cancelled or allowed to expire.

Before removing a domain, make sure it is not being used by an active website or other service.

KEEP RENEWAL NOTIFICATIONS ON

Expired domains can become unavailable for renewal or may eventually be registered by another party. Keep your domain renewal information up to date and monitor your domain's expiry date regularly.
