SIRSTEVEHQ provides Cloudflare DNS Management directly within your Client Area, allowing you to easily manage your domain's DNS records without logging in to a separate Cloudflare account.
Before you can manage your DNS records, your domain must first be activated on the Cloudflare DNS platform.
Step 1 - Activate Cloudflare DNS
1. Log in to your SIRSTEVEHQ Client Area.
2. Navigate to Domains.
3. Select the domain you want to manage.
4. From the left-hand sidebar, click Cloudflare DNS.
5. Click Activate to add your domain to Cloudflare DNS.
During the activation process, the system will verify your domain's current nameservers. If your domain is not already pointing to the required nameservers, you will be prompted to update them before Cloudflare DNS can be activated.
Step 2 - Verify Your Nameservers
For Cloudflare DNS to function correctly, your domain must use the nameservers assigned during the activation process.
If your domain is registered with SIRSTEVEHQ, you can update the nameservers directly from your Client Area.
If your domain is registered with another registrar, you must update the nameservers through your current registrar before Cloudflare DNS can be activated.
Once the nameserver changes have been made, please allow time for DNS propagation. This may take up to 24 to 48 hours, although many domains are verified much sooner.
Step 3 - Manage Your DNS Records
After your domain has been successfully activated and verified, you can manage your DNS records at any time.
To access DNS management:
1. Log in to your SIRSTEVEHQ Client Area.
2. Navigate to Domains.
3. Select your domain.
4. Click Cloudflare DNS from the left-hand sidebar.
From here, you can add, edit, or remove DNS records as needed.
You can manage common DNS record types, including:
- A Records - Point your domain or subdomain to an IPv4 address.
- AAAA Records - Point your domain to an IPv6 address.
- CNAME Records - Point one hostname to another domain.
- MX Records - Configure your email service.
- TXT Records - Add domain verification, SPF, DKIM, DMARC, and other text records.
- SRV Records - Configure specific services that require service records.
- CAA Records - Specify which Certificate Authorities can issue SSL certificates for your domain.
Any DNS changes you make are usually applied within a few minutes. However, depending on DNS caching and the record's Time to Live (TTL), it may take up to 24 to 48 hours for the changes to propagate globally.
If you cannot activate Cloudflare DNS, your nameservers fail verification, or you experience any issues managing your DNS records, please submit a Support Ticket. Our Support Team will review your domain configuration and help you resolve the issue.
Note: Activating Cloudflare DNS only enables DNS management through your SIRSTEVEHQ Client Area. It does not automatically migrate your website, email services, or hosting. Ensure your DNS records are configured correctly before directing live traffic to your domain.
